In which tournaments GOLDEN BALL's given?
There are two GOLDEN BALL awards.One is given in the world cup.It has been named "Adidas Golden Ball Award" since 1982 and it goes to the most outstanding player of the FIFA World Cup finals.
Another one is named "Ballon d'Or" (French for "Golden Ball"). It was created in 1956 by the Freench magazine France Football. It is usually known in English as the European Footballer of the Year award.The award is given annually to the player considered to have performed the best over the previous year. The player is chosen among the ones who have been playing for a club based within UEFA's jurisdiction in that year.Until 1995, a player also had to be of European nationality to be eligible.
