Why Maradona wasn't striped off his Golden ball for playing by "God's hand"? Isn't it a violation?
The Golden Ball is awarded to the outstanding player at each World Cup finals (the Golden Boot is awarded to the highest goalscorer). Despite his famous "Hand of God" goal, no one can contest the fact that Maradona excelled in the 1986 FIFA World Cup. It is interesting to note that on that same quarter-final match with England, he scored the Goal of the Century, receiving a pass from inside his own half, dashed some 60 meters for 10 seconds, dodged 5 English players and scored their second goal.

On the famous "Hand of God" goal, I may be wrong on this but it was allowed to stand because the officials never called it a hand ball during the play. We can see it clearly for what it was on instant replays but cameras are not allowed as an officiating tool in any World Cup game.
Reply:Please DO NOT insult Maradona by comparing him to Zidane!!!! And the ref did not see the violation. And in addition do you want to compare a foul with a head-butt? Give me a break!!!!
Reply:Lets not compare Mardona to Zidane please ; 2 different level of players
Reply:That is nothing like what Zidane did, Zidane assaulted a player just for speaking, Maradona had a hand ball, "God's hand" and Maradona is incomparable exspecially to Zidane!
Reply:Maradona is incomparable, well almost except to Pele. As for the violation, the ref didn't spot it but he was subsequently sent home n struck off the FIFA referees' list.
