So he's off to LA for £128 million-$256 million. I anyone on this Planet worth that sort of money ? and will we miss him ?

well, yeah, that sounds like an awful lot of money to pay for one david beckham. i mean, let’s face it, becks is 31 y.o., has played for 15, but when you watch him play you realize he's never gonna realize his full potential. I like him sure, his set pieces are masterful and no matter that the english say it’s the only thing he’s good at, there’s no denying his skill has saved england’s a** a few times, but at this late stage in his career, I doubt if he still has what it takes to be a real force in the field. is galaxy then throwing good money after bad? well, maybe not. beckham as a brand is still top notch. he’ll be playing to sell-out crowds, attract sponsorships for his new club, sell merchandise, etc. etc. the Americans will lap him up. i think maybe it's galaxy who's getting the fairer deal here, lol. why did becks chose to go to america instead of somewhere else,? aside from the fact that he's not wanted, my guess is, his mind is fixed on retirement right now and what better way to round off his career than by looking like the messiah US football has been waiting for : )). weeks ago he's someone nobody wanted, now he's looking like the casting coup of the decade! what a turnaround, huh?
