How many of you have become bandwagon Golden State fans once they did good?

Come on everyone should be honest now, I KNOW for a fact there are a lot of bandwagon Golden State fans out there. Personally I'm not a Golden State fan, but I love to watch them play. I just want to see who has the balls to admit there a bandwagon fan, and if your not a GS bandwagon fan, I respect that. I always appreciate the fans who loved the team BEFORE they got good. I hate it when people PRETEND they've liked a team for a long time when there just a bandwagon fan.

How many of you have become bandwagon Golden State fans once they did good?
When I heard that the Warriors beat the Mavericks in the season series, I thought it was pretty interesting, so I started rooting for them before the playoffs began
Reply:LOL. My co-worker once Dallas funs now he hate them for what they did during last days of regular session. Now he wants warriors to win this 1st round.

However, I still believe that Dallas could turn the table around. We will see on game 5, I hope they could win it.
Reply:I am jumping on the Bandwagon, since my team (Portland Trailblazers) are a team thats a couple years away from making much noise and not in the playoffs. I think its really exciting for the GS Warriors to be making some noise in the playoffs. I am not sure if they will win the series, as I think Dallas will come back, but in the meantime I will root for the Warriors. Your question is interesting, becuase when I lived in the Bay Area, a few years back, they were promoting to people to come watch the Warriors, becuase other elite teams were playing them, such as the Lakers. I dont remember sold out arenas, or front page news, it was the easiest ticket in town to get. But I think its great for the Bay Area, and its longstanding fans, and every city will have "bandwagon fans" when they do well. This is why franchises work so hard to get winning teams, so the fans will jump on the bandwagon, start watching games, buying merchandise, etc.
Reply:How many dallas fans are going to jump on the spurs bandwagon once they get bounced out?
Reply:oh helllllll yes i am a bandwagon GS fan. ever since they got those pimps from indiana who were in the stands brawlin' and knockin fools out (jackson, harrington), along with baron davis beard and jason richardson's dunks. along with winning games, i've loved them. i cheer for them more than i cheer for any other team. go GS
Reply:WARRIORS COME OUT AND PLAY, WARRIORS COME OUT AND PLAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:me. exciting ball nellie's got em playing. but then i love seeing anyone tear cuban a new one. bet under the cool exterior of that silver fox of a warrior coach there's gotta be a whole lot of satisfaction too. that mavs owner dude is one 21st century smarm.
Reply:Not me. I have always watched their games and I live in the Yay Area. When I miss their games, I get cranky and sad.

edit: yeah those celebrities are definitely bandwagon fans, i wish they werent there, theyre wasting seats and those seats should be for deserving fans. I wish they would go back to LA.
Reply:Although I respect the fact that the Warriors have made after 14 years, I'm not into them and never have been. Good luck to them anyway.
Reply:ive been a fan since RUN TMC

and im so proud of bd and jr!
Reply:I smell round 2!

Go Warriors go!
Reply:I've been crazy warriors fan for about 4 years now. But seriously, what better time to join the club than now?

Warriors rock and Cuban is fat.
Reply:Let me say I thought they were going to give the Mavs trouble but, I never thought this much trouble. I think that they were a completely underrated team that had a tough schedule down the stretch and won key games. So now I think they will finish it up in 5 even though the Mavs are a talented team. Yes I have cheered for Golden State not, because they won because I'm a Jazz fan and don't want to play the Mav's.
Reply:I'm a long time Warriors fan. It's hard to break the habit of being an eternal pessimist though.
Reply:Everyone loves to root for the underdog, plaus they are really fun to watch

But I was always a huge B. Davis Fan

looks like G.S. just has that kryptonite for dallas, cus nobody else can beat them
Reply:im not a true blue GS fan but i love underdogs winning against the odds.. (i thought they would lose in 6 games)

plus im a phoenix suns fans, and warriors style of play is similar to them..

its just great GS is winning against the mavs right now and im sure they will get to the next round.. hopefully they reach the west finals too against the suns,, that would be AWESOME!
Reply:Blazers fan here...let me say this I am probably considered band wagon...but I think its the idea of the biggest NBA playoff upset in NBA history (Dallas had 67 wins this season and would be the first 1 seed with that many to go down in the first round) that has people jumping on the GS bandwagon. Everybody loves an underdog...keep it up warriors!
Reply:I think lots of people.

I remember last year when everyone jumped on the LA bandwagon after LA was up 3-1.

Dallas in seven.

The only way I'll believe is if Baron Davis can win this series.
Reply:not me. I'm Michigan born and raised, so I've always rooted for the teams from Detroit. the only exceptions have been the Chicago bears (mid 1980s) and the Atlanta braves (early to mid 1990s)
Reply:Check my questions. While I don't fit the complete definition of a bandwagon fan since I am a diehard Suns fan, I am impressed by the heart of the Warriors and have decided that they are my new #2 team. But I make no bones about it. Part of the reason why is because I like underdog teams and I hate the Mavericks, and this underdog team is having their way with the Mavericks.

The only time I won't root for GS is when they're playing my Suns. Then I must despise them. I hope that clears things up.
Reply:of course if they start winning theyre gonna get more fans thats normal. i knew they had a good team after that 8 or 9 man trade with indiana but for them to make the playoffs and give the best team in the nba a run for the money - no one could predict that. but its great to watch isnt it...
Reply:I live in the Bay Area, but have been an on-and-off Warriors fan for a few years now, especially since I've been more of a baseball and football fan first. It pissed me off when we traded Jamison and Arenas away. I also liked Claxton, but man, I'll be the first one to admit that trade for Boom Dizzle was a godsend. Then when Dunleavy was signed to a long-term contract (I actually liked Murphy despite him being slow), I was mad. But right now, you can't help but get caught up in it, it's practically washing away the twelve years of pain and frustration.
Reply:No where near a bandwagon fan. Warriors fan circa 2001-2002(I'm still pretty young). Went through the nightmare years of St. Jean, and Monty and I know the team's history pretty damn well. Not a big fan of all the sudden bandwagon fans, but I guess it ain't THAT bad. Gotta take the good w/ the bad, right?

Oh yeah, Upperbowl/Nose bleeds seats %26gt; Floor seats anyday, Probably would only sit down there once for the experience, but nose bleeds and upper level are usually where all the diehards are at, not just people that got money in the bank.
Reply:Lakers fan here...

It's nice to see GS a # 8 seed beating a # 1 seed!
Reply:Not me ... I am a Nets fan and I cannot see myself being a Warriors fan unless Kidd goes to GS next season (which is not possible). In terms of the West, I like the Spurs better. I am hoping for a repeat of 2002-2003 season when Nets played Spurs in the Finals but this time, Kidd will get his revenge and wins the Final MVP. I know it is a long shot but if u r a fan of a club, u should be loyal to that club!
