I thought Pirlo was the best player in the world cup. What do you folks think?

Pirlo was instrumental for Italy in this world cup. He was all around the field and feeded some neat passes to others who converted them into goals. His set-pieces were as brilliant as those of Becksy's and Ronaldinihio's. I really thought he deserved the Golden Ball over others but it was really sad that such a fabulous player missed out on it. If I am not wrong, I don't remember seeing him committing any fouls on others.

I thought Pirlo was the best player in the world cup. What do you folks think?

Reply:Pirlo was awesome. He actually had two assists in the World Cup finals. Luca Toni's goal was taken away in the second half on a bad offsides call. Reply showed that he wasn't offsides. Film doesn't lie. It was a great pass from Pirlo to Luca Toni setting that up. The pass from Pirlo to Materazzi setting up Italy's goal in the first half was perfect. Pirlo was very consistent just like Cannavaro. Pirlo deserves more respect!

Reply:I think so too. Carnavarro was impressive in the simi's and final, but Pirlo was AWESOME throughout the tourney. Zidane doesn't deserve gold because of the headbutt
Reply:No way, Zidane was the best player in the tournament. He led a bad team to the final. He would have brought them to victory if it wasn't for having a hard head.

Reply:i definitely thought cannavaro deserved it. he led his team and prevented many goals because of his amazing defensive skills. he knew what the attackers were going to do before they did.
Reply:I think the best player was Zidane but you're right. Pirlo played awsome and that's why he's one of my favorite players. I also love Canavarro and the way he plays. And I don't like the fact that people don't really recognize defenders sometimes.
